Irrational Man

The will to live has gone out of Abe (Joaquin Phoenix), a philosophy professor who arrives at a small town college in the grip of an existential crisis. His student Jill (Emma Stone) draws him into a relationship, and for the first time in a long while he has a purpose. Woody Allen sets it among the lecture halls and the campus, where Abe leans against the front of a classroom with his weary eyes on Jill.
