“Mutant crabs with an urge to kill!”

Moody (Robert Lansing) wants his marine research to count for the years he has put into it, and he has staked it on an experiment in Florida. Hernan Cardenas sets the story among the people who live around the work, among them Pete Adams (Steve Hanks) and Rosie (Nita Talbot). When the experiment goes wrong, the land crabs grow eight feet long, and Moody is the one who made them.
