Istanbul Beneath My Wings

After a sea battle between the Ottomans and the Italians, a seized ship is towed into Istanbul, and its wounded captain's daughter, Francesca (Beatriz Rico), is handed over as a slave to Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi (Ege Aydan). She enters his household as property, and he is a man whose mind is fixed on flying. Mustafa Altıoklar stages the story as a dramatization of Hezarfen's reported flight across the Bosphorus from Galata.
