It Always Rains on Sunday

“The secrets of a street you know”

A man breaks out of prison and, on a rainy Sunday afternoon, shows up at the house of the woman he once planned to marry. Rose Sandigate (Googie Withers) is now a housewife with a husband, George (Edward Chapman), and stepchildren under the same roof. Robert Hamer keeps the escapee hidden in her home while the family goes about its Sunday, and every knock at the door puts Rose's whole household at risk.
