It Came from Outer Space
“Fantastic sights leap out at you!”
A huge meteorite comes down near a small Arizona town, and amateur astronomer John Putnam (Richard Carlson) and schoolteacher Ellen Fields (Barbara Rush) see it fall. Putnam says it's a spacecraft with someone inside, and the townspeople, led by Sheriff Matt Warren (Charles Drake), laugh at him. Jack Arnold, working from a Ray Bradbury treatment, makes this Universal's first film in 3D, and the story stays with Putnam, a lone man at the crater's edge.
