Jay Height (Maika Monroe) sleeps with Hugh (Jake Weary) and wakes to learn she has inherited a supernatural entity that moves toward her, relentless and patient, wearing familiar faces. She tells her friends Paul (Keir Gilchrist), Greg (Daniel Zovatto), and Yara (Olivia Luccardi), and together they try to outrun it, to drown it, to pass it to someone else. The horror is that you cannot hide from what follows.
