Italian for Beginners

“Attendance optional. Passion required.”

In a semi-provincial suburb of a Danish town, a handful of lonely people sign up for a beginner's Italian course. Among them are Andreas (Anders W. Berthelsen), a new pastor in town, and Olympia (Anette Støvelbæk), who works at a bakery. Lone Scherfig shot it on handheld video in natural light, and it comes down to people who need someone to talk to.
