“THE HAPPENINGS OF ONE WONDERFUL NIGHT!”

Guy Johnson (James Stewart), a private detective, wants to clear his client Willie Heywood, who has been framed for murder. He hides Willie while he hunts the real killer, but the police catch them both, and a judge sends Guy to jail for a year. On the way there, he spots a clue and slips away from his guards, and Edwina Corday (Claudette Colbert) is soon caught up in the chase with him.
