It's Not Me

Leos Carax (LC) is asked for a self-portrait and answers by cutting together more than forty years of his own films with scraps of the world's news. Denis Lavant, once his Monsieur Merde, turns up again among clips from the old work, alongside La Pianiste (Nastya Golubeva Carax) and La Spinneuse (Loreta Juodkaite). Carax works it as a free-form essay rather than a straight account, and the order is his own, loose and personal.
