Ivy
“Pity the men in her life!”
Ivy (Joan Fontaine), an Edwardian belle, has begun to like Miles Rushworth (Herbert Marshall), a wealthy gentleman, and she is already tied to her husband Jervis (Richard Ney) and her lover Dr. Roger Gretorex (Patric Knowles). So she settles on a plan to be rid of the two of them. Sam Wood follows her as a woman who wants money and standing and treats everyone around her as a means to get there.
