Diane (Juno Temple), a shy teenager, spends a day in New York wanting to be near the brash, tomboyish Jack (Riley Keough), who has just kissed her. Their first romance is tender and awkward, and then it turns strange and violent in ways neither of them can explain. Bradley Rust Gray films the two girls close and handheld, so that every shiver of nerves feels like it is happening under the skin.
