Jack & Sarah

“She's not proper, she's not fitting, she's not British, but to Jack she's a breath of fresh air.”

Jack (Richard E. Grant) has always landed on his feet: he marries the beautiful Sarah and buys a luxurious new home, and wants only for it to stay that way. Then Sarah goes into labour, he falls down the stairs, and he wakes up the father of a baby girl and a husband with no wife. Tim Sullivan puts Jack alone with an infant, Amy (Samantha Mathis) and Margaret (Judi Dench) nearby, and nothing in his life ready for her.
