Jack Frost

(1979)Directed by Arthur Rankin Jr., Jules Bass48 min · GFamily, Animation, Fantasy, TV Movie

Every Groundhog Day, Pardon-Me-Pete (Buddy Hackett) tells the story of Jack Frost, a winter sprite who watches a young woman from the sky and wants her to see him. Father Winter agrees to make Jack human, on one condition: by spring he must own a house, a bag of gold, a horse and a wife. Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin Jr. build it in stop-motion, with Jack (Robert Morse) walking through a town of small, hand-made figures.
