Jackal of Nahueltoro
Drunk and illiterate, the peasant José (Nelson Villagra) kills the woman he lives with and her five children, and the police arrest him in the aftermath. Miguel Littín builds the film from the true 1960 case, following the arrest, the trial and the long weeks in custody, with a reporter (Marcelo Romo) and a chaplain (Héctor Noguera) closing in on him. For all of them, the question is what Chile will do with a man who can barely read his own name.
