Jackie & Ryan
“Sometimes they stay. Sometimes they go.”
Why would a man who hops freight trains and plays music for a living stop in one town for a woman he barely knows? Ryan (Ben Barnes) is that drifter, chasing a musician's life, and Jackie (Katherine Heigl) is a single mother fighting to keep custody of her daughter. Ami Canaan Mann puts them together, and the film is about what each asks of the other.
