Jacknife

“Three buddies in Vietnam. Two survived. Only one is really alive.”

Joseph "Jacknife" Megessey (Robert De Niro), a Vietnam veteran, shares a house with his sister Martha (Kathy Baker) when his old army buddy Dave (Ed Harris) turns up and starts seeing her. David Hugh Jones adapts Stephen Metcalfe's play, and Ed Harris was nominated for a Golden Globe for the role. What the war left in two men, and how they carry it around the people who love them, is what keeps the three of them in the room together.
