Jacob's Ladder

“The most frightening thing about Jacob Singer's nightmare is that he isn't dreaming.”

In New York after the Vietnam War, Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins) has come home to a life that no longer holds still. Strange visions follow him everywhere, and the faces and bodies around him twist into grotesque images. Adrian Lyne lets Jacob's girlfriend Jezzie (Elizabeth Peña) and his chiropractor Louis (Danny Aiello) try to help, while the film shows how little anyone can do for a mind that is coming apart.
