Jacquou the Rebel
In 1815, a dispute with the Count de Nansac (Jocelyn Quivrin) gets Jacquou's father (Albert Dupontel) arrested, and the boy's life with his parents in the Périgord comes to an end. Laurent Boutonnat follows Jacquou (Gaspard Ulliel) from an orphaned child, taken in by the priest Bonal (Olivier Gourmet), to a grown man set on repaying the Count. A poor family has no defense against a landowner who answers to no one.
