Antony (Antony Varghese) is a butcher's hand in a remote hill village, and he is one of the men sent running when a buffalo breaks loose from the slaughterhouse. Lijo Jose Pellissery puts the whole village on the chase, with 'Kalan' Varkey (Chemban Vinod Jose) and Kuttachan (Sabumon Abdusamad) among the crowd of men that grows with every hour. The animal is only the reason they set out; the film is about how little it takes for ordinary neighbors to turn into a mob.
