Japanese Girls at the Harbor

Sunako (Michiko Oikawa) wants a friend she can trust, and at her Christian school in Yokohama she finds one in Dora (Yukiko Inoue), the girl she pledges to stay close to. Then Henry (Ureo Egawa) turns up on his motorcycle and offers Sunako a ride, and Hiroshi Shimizu makes it plain from the start that the pledge will not hold. Two schoolgirls stand together at the edge of the harbor, and neither can see where the next year will take them.
