Jason (Todd Armstrong) is a sailor who comes home to Thessaly after a long voyage, ready to claim the throne that belongs to him. First he has to find the Golden Fleece, and that sends him and his crew out on a quest through monsters and dangers no ordinary ship has faced. Don Chaffey sets Argos (Laurence Naismith) to building the vessel, and Zeus (Niall MacGinnis) watches from above.
