Je suis Karl

A bomb goes off in Berlin and takes the Baier home with it, killing Maxi's mother and her two little brothers. Maxi (Luna Wedler) and her father Alex (Milan Peschel) are the only ones left, and when the charming Karl (Jannis Niewöhner) invites her to a youth conference in Prague, she leaves her grieving father behind to go. Christian Schwochow shows how a movement promising a better Europe can reach a girl in her worst weeks, and how easily she follows it.
