Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles

Jeanne Dielman (Delphine Seyrig), a widow in Brussels, wants her days to stay exactly as they are. While her son Sylvain (Jan Decorte) is at school, she cleans the apartment, does the chores, and receives clients in the afternoon. Chantal Akerman follows her across three days, and the only other person in that apartment is her son.
