Jeanne du Barry

Nobody at Versailles can say how Jeanne Bécu (Maïwenn), born in 1743 to an impoverished seamstress, ever got in the door. Maïwenn follows her from those beginnings toward the court of Louis XV (Johnny Depp), where the aging king takes her as his last official mistress. Every rule of the court is set against a woman with no title and no family name worth the mention, and she is the one who has to live under it.
