Jeff, Who Lives at Home

“The first step to finding your destiny is leaving your mother's basement.”

Jeff Thompkins (Jason Segel) is a grown man living in his mother's basement, waiting for a sign that will tell him what his life is for. His mother, Sharon (Susan Sarandon), sends him out on a small errand, and he runs into his brother Pat (Ed Helms), who is trailing his wife, Linda (Judy Greer), certain she is cheating. Jay and Mark Duplass spend one day on a family that has stopped talking to itself, and the pull of a brother's loyalty, even a clumsy one.
