“Family is worth fighting for.”

In 2015 Cleveland, the Farrells are an old-fashioned family who think of their daughter's longtime roommate as just that. Jenny (Katherine Heigl) is getting married, and the woman she plans to marry is Kitty (Alexis Bledel), a fact Jenny has never told them. Mary Agnes Donoghue writes the family's reaction as a choice between Eddie (Tom Wilkinson) and Rose (Linda Emond) adapting or losing their daughter.
