Jeremiah Johnson

“Some say he's dead...some say he never will be.”

Jeremiah Johnson (Robert Redford) walks away from the army and into the Rocky Mountains, with no skill at the life he has chosen. Bear Claw (Will Geer), a grizzled old trapper, shows him how to survive the winters, and he crosses paths with the Crow, the Flathead and the settlers who already call the peaks home. Sydney Pollack keeps him small against the high country, a lone rider on a horse, breathing out white in the mountain cold.
