Jerry Maguire is a sports agent in Miami until he writes a manifesto that costs him his job and clients. His only remaining athlete is Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.), a wide receiver chasing respect as much as money, and his only ally is Dorothy Boyd (Renée Zellweger), a single mother who believes in him when no one else does.
