(1979)Directed by Peter Sykes, John Krish117 min · GDrama
“The story of Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke.”

The film begins in the Galilee of the first century, a land of fishermen, farmers and carpenters like Joseph (Yosef Shiloach), where Mary (Rivka Neuman) raises her son. Peter Sykes and John Krish follow Jesus (Brian Deacon) through three and a half years of ministry, with Luke's narration (Alexander Scourby) filling in the people and events around him. Every town he enters gathers more followers and more enemies, and the road leads toward Jerusalem.
