Jesus of Montreal
In Montreal in 1989, a priest hires the actor Daniel Coulombe (Lothaire Bluteau) to rework the church's annual Passion Play. Denys Arcand follows him as he gathers a small troupe, among them Mireille (Catherine Wilkening) and Constance (Johanne-Marie Tremblay), and writes a version of Jesus the church does not want performed. The rehearsals start to blur with the lives of the people in them.
