“No soul should be denied salvation.”

Jiang Ziya (Zheng Xi) once commanded armies from the heavens, and now he is sent to banish the Nine-tailed Fox Demon, who threatens every mortal alive. What stops him is the discovery that the fox's life is tied to the soul of an innocent girl, Xiao Jiu (Yang Ning). Cheng Teng and Wei Li fill the animation with fantastic creatures and dense, overflowing color drawn from Investiture of the Gods.
