Jigsaw

Detective Inspector Fred Fellows (Jack Warner) wants a name for the woman found murdered in a seaside house along the coast from Brighton, and he has next to nothing to start with. Val Guest has him and Sergeant Jim Wilks work the case in black and white, following each lead through Brighton and Hove and on to places further afield. The one person they keep coming back to is Jean Sherman (Yolande Donlan), and what she knows, or won't say, ties her to the dead woman.
