Jimmy P.

Jimmy Picard (Benicio del Toro), a Blackfoot veteran home from the war in France, turns up at a military hospital with blinding headaches and symptoms no one can account for. Arnaud Desplechin brings in Georges Devereux (Mathieu Amalric), an eccentric psychoanalyst, after the doctors suspect schizophrenia and the case stalls. If the talking between the two men fails to find a cause, Jimmy may be diagnosed as mad and kept there.
