Jimmy's Hall

“Where Anything Goes and Everyone Belongs.”

The question hanging over County Leitrim is why James Gralton (Barry Ward) came back after ten years in America. He is home in the Depression, among poor families and a hall he once built, the one that got him deported. Ken Loach follows him as he thinks about reopening it, with Father Sheridan (Jim Norton) watching from the church and Oonagh (Simone Kirby) still in the village, the empty hall standing in Effrinagh, waiting for him to cross its threshold.
