Jindabyne

“Under the surface of every life lies a mystery”

Jindabyne is a country town in the shadow of the Snowy Mountains, where Stewart (Gabriel Byrne) goes fishing with his friends and they come upon the body of a murdered girl. Ray Lawrence follows what that discovery does to the men and to their wives, with Claire (Laura Linney) caught in the middle of a marriage that was already strained. Claire stands in the kitchen of the house, the mountains outside the window, the town going on around her.
