Joe

“One man's past. One boy's future.”

Joe Ransom (Nicolas Cage) wants to keep his head down and his lumber crew working, an ex-con with a temper he tries to leave at the edge of every job. Then Gary (Tye Sheridan), a boy of fifteen, shows up asking for work, and Joe sees the father waiting behind him. David Gordon Green sets it in a rough Southern town, and the bond between the man and the boy runs on a few shared hours of work and not much talk.
