Joe the King

Joe Henry (Noah Fleiss) is fourteen and broke, and all he wants is to hold his life together while his mother, Theresa (Karen Young), and his father, Bob (Val Kilmer), each hit him in their own way. His older brother is slowly pulling away too, leaving Joe more alone each week. Frank Whaley wrote and directed it from his own childhood and his brother's, and the film keeps close to what he lived.
