John Dies at the End

“Just so you know... they're sorry for anything that's about to happen.”

In a small American town, Dave (Chase Williamson) and his friend John (Rob Mayes) come across a street drug that sends its users out of their bodies. They return changed, and a reporter named Arnie Blondestone (Paul Giamatti) listens to Dave tell it, none of it adding up. Don Coscarelli adapts David Wong's novel in a deadpan voice, so every monster arrives with the same flat shrug.
