John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch

“A children's musical comedy special from a man with neither children nor musical ability.”

On a soundstage dressed like the children's television of Mulaney's own childhood, a group of kids sits with their host in a variety hour that debuted on Netflix on Christmas Eve, 2019. Rhys Thomas directs John Mulaney (John Mulaney), who sings and jokes his way through big questions with Mr. Music (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Crying Lady (Annaleigh Ashford). David Byrne and Natasha Lyonne drop in, and the kids sing along beside them.
