Johnny Suede

Johnny Suede (Brad Pitt) wants to be Ricky Nelson, and he has the pompadour, the guitar and a pair of black suede shoes to prove it. He lacks the talent and the drive, but a few friends are willing to play backup, and Tom DiCillo follows him through his first film. Brad Pitt stands there with the hair up and the shoes on, still waiting to become the person he's dressed as.
