Jonah Who Will Be 25 in the Year 2000

In Geneva in 1976, a handful of people in their thirties are still living with the leftovers of the sixties. Max (Jean-Luc Bideau) is a dissatisfied copy editor, and Marie (Miou-Miou) works a supermarket register where she gives the old customers discounts nobody authorized. Alain Tanner follows them between a communal farm and the city, with a six-year-old boy named Jonah carrying everything they still hope for.
