Journey from Greece

Djam (Daphné Patakia) is a young Greek woman sent to Istanbul by her uncle Kakourgos (Simon Abkarian), a former sailor who loves Rebetiko, to find the one part that will fix their boat. She is generous and cheeky, and she goes where the day takes her. Tony Gatlif has her pick up Avril (Maryne Cayon), a French volunteer with no money, and Djam keeps feeding and singing her along the road to Mytilene.
