Journey into the Night

Dr. Eigil Börne (Olaf Fønss) is an eminent physician who wants nothing more than the dancer he meets at a cabaret, a woman who cares little about him. He leaves his fiancée behind, and F. W. Murnau gives a blind painter (Conrad Veidt) a brief, strange entrance along the way. What the film puts in front of you is a respectable man giving up a settled life for someone who will not hold him.
