Joyful Noise

“Dream a whole lot louder!”

When the choir's longtime director dies, the job goes to Vi Rose Hill (Queen Latifah), not to G.G. Sparrow (Dolly Parton), who had expected it. The two women now have to share a church choir heading into a national competition, and they disagree about what it should sing. Todd Graff builds the film on one plain idea, that people can keep arguing about the music and still make it together.
