Juha

A stranger in a car pulls up at a farm, and Marja (Kati Outinen) has no words to answer him with, because nobody in this film speaks aloud. Aki Kaurismäki shot it in black and white as a silent picture, the dialogue left to intertitles, and it is about a quiet marriage that a city man named Shemeikka (André Wilms) walks into. Juha (Sakari Kuosmanen) and Marja share a table and a roof, and the film watches what thins between them.
