Julieta

The story runs thirty years, from a hopeful Spain in 1985 to 2015, when Julieta (Emma Suárez) is a woman whose life looks past repair. Pedro Almodóvar takes it from three Alice Munro stories, with Adriana Ugarte playing Julieta as a young woman and Suárez as the older one. Everything turns on a silence between a mother and a daughter, and on the long wait for either to break it.
