Junebug

Madeleine (Embeth Davidtz), a Chicago art dealer, just wants to sign an eccentric Southern painter, and a detour to North Carolina to meet her new husband George's family is the price of getting there. Phil Morrison puts her in a house with his tight-lipped mother Peg (Celia Weston) and Ashley (Amy Adams), a pregnant sister-in-law who talks constantly. Madeleine's polished life is on show for the whole visit, and so is whatever she learns about the man she married.
