“Only one adventure gets this wild.”

Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) hires Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson), a wisecracking skipper with a dilapidated boat, to take her and her brother McGregor (Jack Whitehall) down the Amazon after an ancient tree said to heal any illness. A German expedition under Prince Joachim (Jesse Plemons) is racing them to it. Jaume Collet-Serra sends Lily upriver with a scientist's stubbornness, and Frank rides along on puns and a rented boat he can't afford to lose.
