Just Remembering

The film opens on one day in July, which then repeats, each time a year earlier, until the story has traveled back through the pandemic. Teruo (Sosuke Ikematsu) and Yo'u (Sairi Ito) were once together, and Daigo Matsui, working from a Jim Jarmusch film, lets those mismatched days stand beside one another. What the years took from them lies in how easily the two still read each other.
