Hernan Guerra (Benjamin Bratt), Kirk Langstrom (Michael C. Hall) and Bekka (Tamara Taylor) are the Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman of an alternate universe, and none of them is who the comics promised. Then an embassy is bombed, the government blames them, and Sam Liu sends them running from the same authorities they were built to stand beside. The film puts a hard question in plain terms: who gets to decide how much power is too much.
